SPACE COAST COMPLEX, MELBOURNE, FL – SBA Futures 9U, Vengeance Gold, SBA Hawks 2032 and DOC 2033 hold the 1-4 seeds going into the second half of the week.
The SBA Futures 9U brought the talent to Melbourne this week as they take the top seed here in 9U. If they want to continue their dominance, they’ll need even more from guys like Gannon Tyler. Tyler hit 1.000 going a perfect 4-for-4 scoring 4 runs and 2 RBIs while posting a double and triple to his ledger.
Vengeance Gold look to continue their good play into the next phase of the tournament. Easton Woods believes this tournament has his name written all over it – and he’s playing like it. Woods went 2-for-2 in pool play stealing 8 bases and scoring 4 times for the Gold. Cordneil Phillips is a name we can’t overlook as he went 3-for-3 with 3 R and 2 RBIs with a double, triple and home run to his name while stealing 3 bases himself. For those keeping score at home, Phillips was only a single shy of the cycle.
SBA Hawks 2032 will seek to remain fresh going into the final stretch in these World Series. If Jacob Cavett continues his performance at the plate you can certainly expect the Hawks to go far in this one. Cavett went 4-for-6 in pool play with 3 RBI, 1 3B and 4 SB.
DOC 2033 out of Oklahoma plan on making the most out of their long journey down to Florida. Bruce Bloxham came to Florida not to spend his time on the beach but on the diamond winning games and securing championships. Bloxham went 6-for-8 with 6 R, 1 3B, 11 SB and 2 RBI.
