Florida USSSA State Rules

Coaches Ejection – Any coach ejected or removed will be suspended for the following game. Two ejections in the same tournament will result in suspension for the remainder of the tournament.

Time Limits:
8u: 1 hour and 30 minutes (1:30)
9u-12u: 1 hour and 40 minutes (1:40)
13u-18u: 1 hour and 45 minutes (1:45)

Championship Game Time Limits:
*9u – 12u Championship games have 2 hour time limit
*13u – 14u Championship games have 2:10 hour time limit

*All time limits CAN be modified by a tournament director

Official Rosters:
All Ages: Rosters must be ONLINE PRIOR to the start of the event. Paper rosters will NOT be accepted!

Team Line-Ups:
8u-14u: Teams may bat nine (9), ten (10) using an Extra Hitter (EH) or continuous batting order
*Designated Hitter (DH) is permissible 9U-18u

Pitching Limits:
8u-12u: Maximum innings in 1 day is 6 innings (18 outs)
13u-14u: Maximum innings in 1 day is 7 innings (21 outs) 8u-14u:
All Ages:
*Maximum innings in a 3 day event is 8 innings (24 outs).
Any pitcher that pitches more than 3 innings (9 outs) in one day must rest the next day
ALL Ages: A pitcher (starter or reliever) once removed from the mound may NOT return to the pitching position for the remainder of the game

Bat Restrictions:
13u: Must use a maximum drop 5 (-5) bat with the official USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp
14u-18u: All bats must have a visible, permanent BBCOR.50 certified stamp or wood

USA Bat Standard: FL USSSA does NOT require bats to conform with the new USA Bat Standard. USA Bat Standard approved bats though ARE eligible for play if it has the permanent USA Bat Standard logo, therefore these bats will NOT have the USSSA thumbprint stamp.

Cleats:
8u-12u: Non-metal cleats shall be worn. NO Metal Cleats!
13u-18u: Traditional metal spikes permitted (If not on Turf)

Home/Away Teams
Pool Play: A coin flip shall determine the home team for each game
Bracket: The highest seeded team will be home team, No Choice

Mercy Rules:
8u-12u: 15 runs after 3 innings, 8 runs after 4 innings
13u-18u: 15 runs after 3 innings, 12 runs after 4 innings, 8 runs after 5 innings

Tie Games:
Pool: Pool play games CAN end in a tie

Bracket: CANNOT end in a tie! At the end of the time limit or last inning, whichever comes first, the last batted out of the previous inning will be placed on 2nd base with NO OUTS. This will continue until there is a winner (Universal Tie-Breaker).

The above Florida USSSA Tournament Rules will supersede all Official USSSA Playing Rules at any Florida USSSA sanctioned tournament. These rules will not apply to any other USSSA sanctioned tournament unless the tournament director specifically notifies all teams prior to the event. Any rule not specifically mentioned in the FL USSSA Tournament Rules will revert to the Official USSSA Playing Rules. Florida USSSA reserves the right to change or amend any Tournament Rules at any time. Any changes to the Florida USSSA Tournament Rules will be made prior to the start of an event and will be posted online prior to the event.
