FAQ

Do players need passports?

Yes. Passports are mandatory for all travelers to Aruba. Your passport must not expire within 6 months of the travel dates (i.e., valid through at least April 2027). If you need to apply or renew, start immediately — standard processing takes 6–10 weeks.

How are age divisions determined?

This tournament uses calendar year birth year — not USSSA league age. No grade exemptions. U11 = born 2015–2016, U13 = born 2013–2014, U15 = born 2011–2012.

What do families need to arrange?

Families are responsible for round-trip flights to Aruba, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and food/personal expenses. We will coordinate a room block at a host hotel with group rates.

How many games will my child play?

Every player receives a 6-game guarantee across the tournament week.

Is $1,095 the total cost for the tournament?

Yes. The $1,095 player fee covers 2 custom jerseys, hat, practice shirt, beach towel, commemorative ring, custom trading cards, drawstring bag, event entry, 6-game guarantee, umpire fees, gate fees, game balls, and a team manager. The only additional costs are your family’s travel, hotel, transportation, and food.

Is Aruba safe for families?

Aruba is consistently ranked one of the safest Caribbean islands. English is widely spoken, US dollars are accepted everywhere, and the island has excellent tourist infrastructure. The weather in October averages 84°F with minimal rain (Aruba sits outside the hurricane belt).

Can we turn this into a family vacation?

Absolutely! Many families are extending their stay. Aruba offers world-class beaches, snorkeling, national parks, and dining. The island is only 20 miles long, so everything is easy to get to.

Is it the same age system as USSSA?

No. USSSA uses league age, which can differ from calendar age. This tournament uses only the player’s birth year to determine their division. Please verify your player’s birth year against the division chart above.
