Hey guys, unfortunately we have no choice but to cancel. The complex has told us with the amount of water (they’ve never had this much) it could take up to 2 hours to be ready and we don’t want to keep everyone on the heels all day.  The forecast is calling for rain until 1pm.   First and second place seeds can stop by the check in place to pick up medals. We are soooo sorry about this bc we put our heart and soul in this event and this sucks for everyone. We really value any and all feedback - please send to [email protected]

From Publix Sports Complex: Hey guys just an update on the fields. We will need at least 30 minutes or so of no rain for the following flds 2/5/6 right now. Due to the amount of rain in short amount of time, our retention ponds are full of water which stops our fields from draining. Right now field 2 is holding a good amount of water puddles on the field. Typically when this happens fields 5 and 6 will do the same. Keep you in the loop

We've opted to delay the start time to 11 am. If the rain 🌧️ persists, we may have to cancel due to time and travel constraints. Our priority is to ensure everyone's safety, avoiding late-night driving in potentially hazardous weather conditions. Thank you for your understanding. The next update will be at 9 am.

Event Update 7:05am..... We are closely monitoring the weather conditions and will keep assessing the situation. 🌦️ In light of the diverse group of participants who have traveled from 29 different states, we must be extra cautious about travel arrangements. Any potential flight delays or cancellations could result in unforeseen additional event expenses, which is something we are trying out best to avoid. ✈️💼. Assuming that we are able to kick off our event today at 10am as planned, we're delighted to inform you that there will be no gate fee. However, there is a slight possibility that we may need to adjust game times to ensure that we stay within our scheduled timeframe. ⏰🎮. We want to emphasize that we share your frustration in these circumstances because, like you, we have invested an immense amount of effort to make this event the best it can be. Rest assured, we will keep you updated promptly as new information becomes available. 🙏📢. For those of you interested in event posters, they will be available for pickup starting at 8am in the same location where you initially checked in.
