North Florida USSSA Cinco de Mayo (Rings) Push Notification
North Florida USSSA Baseball wants to thank everyone who participated and came to cheer on their favorite team this weekend here in Jacksonville Florida.
One of the things we do in every one of our tournaments here in Jacksonville is that we give away a brand new Wilson A2000 glove to one lucky player.
Saturday during pool play the opposing coaches nominated an opposing player as the outstanding player of the game. Coaches cannot vote for their own players.
Those names get turned into us on Saturday night and we do a video drawing on our facebook page (North Florida USSSA Baseball).
Go see who the lucky (OPA) was for this weekend.

Although the rain has subsided for the next 15/20 minutes there's another band of rain 20/30 away.
Please get with your facility site Director for any questions you may have.
Ft Family has resumed play until the umpires deem it unsafe to play again
Drew park can resume play so players can return
Rondette, Glynlea, Holiday Hill, San Jose are still under delay.
Greenland can resume and players can return until umpires deem unplayable

We are under a lightning delay at all facilities. Should lightning strike again it's another 30 minutes.
We will monitor the rain on the fields and make decisions when the lightning allows when they are playable again.

According to the last weather update we are expecting rain between 11-12pm or sooner.
USSSA Site Directors will be onsite at all facilities to direct everyone.

Fields have been prepped and we are a go for 8am starts in the morning at all facilities.
Should we get rain in the early AM that could delay the 8am start our next update will be at 6:30am.
If your coach or parents do not have the USSSA Push Notification app please forward this to them.
Each facility will have a USSSA Site Director for the weekend.
Should you have questions when you are on site please find them. That's the quickest way to get information. They have direct contact with me at all times.

We have been hard at it preparing for this weekends event. Even today we will be out at the facilities getting ready.
As of this morning the weather report is showing most of the rainfall starting tomorrow afternoon.
Games will start on time tomorrow morning (8am). After several meetings with our team we have made a decision to reduce game times for tomorrow only to (1:30).
If and when the rain makes it unplayable we will cover the mounds and plates at the clay facilities and wait for the rain to stop.
At that time our field crews will start to break out the equipment and Diamond dry to get the fields playable again.
We expect to finish all pool play games tomorrow even if it takes us late into Saturday evening/night.

North Florida USSSA Baseball wants to thank each of you for registering for our North Florida USSSA Cinco de Mayo (Rings) event here in Jacksonville Florida (5/2-5/3).
We are watching the weather and are hopeful that the tournament will still go on.
Many of you have reached out about the expected weather for this weekend here in Jacksonville. We have already taken measures at each facility by covering mounds and plates and have purchased a pallet of Diamond Dry that will be dispersed when needed.
Field maintenance crews will be onsite at each Clay facility ready to assist when needed.
At this time games times will remain the same but could be reduced based on the weather report on Friday.
We will use this app for all updates this weekend. Please encourage others to download the USSSA app if they haven't already.
